Disconnect the spark plug wires from the distributor cap, remove the distributor cap and rotor.
Check the condition and, if necessary, replace the breaker contacts.
Make sure that the contact surfaces are not uneven and are in contact over the entire area.
Clean the fixed contact if necessary.
Engage any forward gear and roll the car forward so that the moving contact moves away to the maximum amount.
Loosen lock screw 1 (see photo) fixed contact of the breaker.
Insert a screwdriver blade between the two protrusions 2 of the plate and the cutout of the breaker contact strip.
Use a screwdriver to adjust the gap between the breaker contacts, which should be 0.45 mm.
Tighten lock screw 1.
Apply a thin coat of molybdenum disulphide lubricant to the cam and blow out the distributor housing with compressed air.
Check and, if necessary, adjust the angle of the cam or the angle of the closed state of the breaker contacts, using appropriate tools.
