Output stage
The final stage contains a powerful transistor, it switches the current to the ignition coil on and off (or to the ignition coils). Thanks to this, high currents cannot damage the sensitive electronics of the control unit.
The final stages of individual motors are located:
- in a 74 kW engine next to the ignition coil;
- in a 92 kW engine above the ignition coils on the cylinder head;
- in a 110 kW four-cylinder engine under the air filter housing cover;
- in a six-cylinder engine also under the air filter cover.
