End stage
A powerful transistor is located in the final stage, it turns on and off the current to the ignition coil (or ignition coils). This prevents high currents from damaging the sensitive electronics of the control unit.
The final stages of individual motors are located:
- in a 74 kW engine next to the ignition coil;
- in the 92 kW engine above the ignition coils on the cylinder head;
- in a four-cylinder engine with a power of 110 kW under the cover of the air filter housing;
- in a six-cylinder engine also under the air filter cover.
