Removal
Disconnect the wires from the distributor cap and remove the cap.
Loosen the flange mounting bolt and remove the ignition distributor.
To install the distributor, turn the engine crankshaft to the position corresponding to the TDC of the piston of the 1st cylinder, aligning the mark on the crankshaft pulley with the edge of the protrusion "O" of the indicator on the cylinder block.
Install the ignition distributor in place, aligning the TDC mark of the end of the compression stroke of the piston of the 1st cylinder on the rotor spacer plate with the mark on the distributor housing, and tighten the distributor flange mounting bolt.
Replace the distributor cap and connect the wires.
Set the ignition timing.
Main parts of the ignition distributor: 7 — lid; 8 - carbon electrode with contact spring; 9 — distributor rotor; 10 - protective screen; 11 — lid; 13, 14 — moving and fixed contacts of the breaker; 19 — distributor housing; 21 — vacuum ignition advance regulator.
