Completely clean the work area around connector "1" and the actuator motor/brake caliper. Disconnect connector "1" of the actuator motor.



Loosen both mounting bolts "1" of the actuator motor.



Remove the actuator motor in the direction of the arrow.



Remove the lip seal using a suitable tool. Make sure that the annular groove of the lip seal and the mating surface of the actuator are not damaged. Do not use tools with sharp corners. If dirty, clean the annular groove and mating surfaces! Use only cleaners for brake system components.

Install

Install a new sealing ring.



Turn the adjusting bolt "1" of the brake caliper back a little.



This will make it easier to install the actuator motor. Install the actuator motor. Ensure that the sealing ring is seated correctly. Pos. "2" Then turn the motor so that the hole for the screw "a" and the thread in the brake caliper housing "b" match.



Make sure that the motor is flush with the brake caliper housing! Install both fastening screws (Torx THZO) of the actuator motor. Be sure to push the actuator motor screws in by hand and screw them in a few turns. If the threads are damaged, replace the brake caliper completely! Tighten the actuator motor screws Tightening torque 12 Nm. Connect the electrical connectors to the actuator motor.





Insert the connector only by hand to avoid damaging the connector! Make sure that the connectors on the vehicle and the actuator motor are clean and undamaged. Install the actuator motor cable in the bracket. Install the wheels. After replacing the actuator motor, it is necessary to perform basic setting 006 using the tester in EPB mode. With the ignition off, connect the diagnostic complex "VAS 5051 B" or "VAS 5052" to the 16-pin diagnostic connector of the vehicle. Ignition on. Release the parking brake Check the coding and, if necessary, make corrections. The fault memory has been interrogated, the specified faults have been rectified and the fault memory has been cleared.
