If the protective caps are damaged, remove the guide pins. Mark the brake linings if they are to be reused. They must be reinstalled in their places, otherwise there will be uneven distribution of the braking forces between the wheels! Compress the spring "7" in the center. The spring is under tension, take care of your hands. Make sure that the brake caliper is not scratched or the paintwork damaged when removing the spring. Carefully remove the spring. Unscrew the bolts "1" on the brake caliper. Remove the brake caliper. Do not hang the brake caliper from the brake hose, but secure it to the body with a suitable cable tie or wire. Do not load the brake hose with the weight of the brake caliper. Remove the protective cap "2" from the outside of the groove of the guide pin. Pull guide pin "3" out of the protective cap. Remove the protective cap from the brake caliper.

Installation

Carefully insert the guide pin up to the first groove in the protective cap. Insert the protective cap into the brake caliper. The protective cap must be located in the center of the brake caliper. Press the guide pin onto the protective cap. Now the protective cap must be located in both grooves of the guide pin. Check the mobility of both guide pins. Both guide pins must move. Install the brake caliper. Tighten bolts "1" to a torque of 30 N·m. Insert spring "7" into the outer brake shoe. Compress the spring in the center and insert the middle tongue of the spring into the hole arrow on the brake caliper. The spring is under tension, take care to protect your hands. Make sure that the brake caliper is not scratched or the paintwork damaged when installing the spring. The spring tongue must be properly secured in the "arrow" hole of the brake caliper, otherwise the spring may pop out and will not hold the pad.
