Removal
1. Remove the rubber seal of the fairing grille (see arrows in the illustration).

2. Remove the grille 1 of the fairing (see illustration 18.1).
3. Set the windshield wiper motor to its original position. To do this, turn the wiper on and then off. The wiper motor should be in the parking position.
4. Remove the protective caps from the wiper arm mounting nuts by carefully prying them off with a screwdriver.
5. Loosen the nuts (see arrows in the illustration) windshield wiper arm mounts.

6. Loosen the windshield wiper arms on the axles, unscrew the nuts securing them and remove the arms.
7. Remove the mounting clamps (see arrows in the illustration) and remove the grille 1 of the fairing.

8. Unscrew the bolts (see arrows in the illustration) and remove the fuse and relay box cover in the engine compartment.

9. Unscrew the three bolts 1, then move the brush holder drive levers 2 in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration and remove them from the fairing box by moving them to the right.

10. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor power plug.
11. Remove rod 1 from the crank by unscrewing nut 2 (see illustration).

12. Unscrew bolts 3 and remove the windshield wiper motor (see illustration 18.11).
Installation
The installation of the windshield wiper motor is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
