The rear suspension, like the front, has a subframe, upper wishbones, lower wishbones and an anti-roll bar.

The subframe is connected to the body by four silent blocks with spacer washers, providing the required ground clearance (see illustrations 7.0 and 7.0b).

The shape of the upper wishbones is adapted to the air shock absorber strut, and the transverse rods are made of forged aluminum alloy to improve rigidity. Due to the fact that the rear suspension elements are similar to parts of other models, in particular, with the AUDI A6 or S6, they are marked with brown paint applied in the form of a dot to distinguish them.

Unlike other AUDI models, the diameter of the ALLROAD rear wheel drive shafts is increased, and the housing of their outer CV joints is reinforced.

The suspension damping is provided by pneumatic shock absorbers, consisting of air cylinders and shock absorbers (see illustration 7.0a).
