Warning: Gasoline and diesel fuel are highly flammable, so special precautions must be taken when working with any fuel system components. Do not smoke or approach the work area with an open flame or unprotected portable lamp. Do not carry out such work in garages equipped with heating devices that run on natural gas (such as water heaters, dryers, etc.). The work area must be well ventilated. If gasoline comes into contact with your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water. Wear safety glasses and keep a fire extinguisher handy when performing any work on the fuel system.

Diesel engines

Replacing the fuel filter. Diesel engine 1.9 l

Fuel filter replacement. Diesel engine 2.5 l
1. Remove the locking bracket (5) and the regulating valve (2) with the fuel hoses attached.
2. Disconnect the fuel hoses (3) and (4) from the pipes.
3. Loosen the clamp on the holder (1) and remove the filter from the holder.
4. Fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel. This will help the engine start faster.
5. Insert the filter into the holder, move it down and tighten the clamp.
6. Insert the adjustment valve with the hoses attached. Make sure that the sealing ring is correctly positioned in the filter housing.
7. Install the locking bracket on the control valve.
8. Place the hoses on the connecting pipes. Secure the hoses with clamps.
9. Start the engine. This will remove air from the fuel system itself.
10. Visually check the fuel system for leaks.
