Replacement is carried out in accordance with Schedule of current maintenance.
Warning: The filter element is available both with and without an insert of activated carbon, which is an odor absorber. Select a filter from the spare parts catalog.
Removal
1. Open the hood. The filter is located at the intake manifold of the cabin ventilation, under the cover of the water collection compartment.
2. Remove the rubber seal from the body fold by moving it forward in the direction of the arrow in the accompanying illustration.
3. Remove the cover (1) of the water collection compartment forward.
4. Disconnect the cover (B) at the clamps and remove it forward.
5. Remove the filter (C) from the housing.
Installation
1. Insert the new filter so that the arrow (D) on the filter frame points in the direction of air flow, i.e. from top to bottom.
2. Install the cover (B) so that it is fixed at both points (A), otherwise water may enter the filter and the air conditioner.
3. Replace the water collection compartment cover. Install the rubber seal on the body fold.
Caution: If the water collection compartment cover is not installed correctly, water will enter the heater and into the passenger compartment.
