Removal
1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect first the negative (-) and then the positive battery cables. Cover the negative battery terminal with electrical tape. For instructions, see Section Replacing the battery.
2. Sedan: Remove the D-pillar trim, refer to the relevant Section.
3. Sedan: remove the shelf, refer to the relevant Section.
4. Sedan: Remove the damping element under the shelf.
5. Remove the trunk/cargo area side trim, refer to the appropriate Section.
6. Remove the screw (2) at the belt winder (1) and the bolt (5) at the belt end.

7. Disconnect the connector (7) and disconnect the belt tensioner cable from the holder (4). (8) – noise protection cover.
8. Pull the belt retractor (1) out of the locking holes (3) and remove it together with the seat belt.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the belt cable is routed correctly. Tighten bolts (2) and (5) to a torque of 55Nm.
Caution: There must be no one in the vehicle when connecting the battery.
2. Remove the insulating tape from the negative battery terminal, connect the positive (+) cable first and then the negative (-) cable to the battery.

Rear belt guide
Removal
1. Remove the rear seat side cushion, refer to Section Removal and installation the rear seat.
2. Remove the seat belt.
3. Remove the part from the foam (4).

4. Remove 2 bolts (2) and remove the belt guide (1) from the retaining holes.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Both washers (3) must lie above the locking holes. The belt guide must be clearly fixed.
