2. Using a plastic wedge, such as HAZET 1965-20, move the base of the jet away from the hood.

3. Remove the water hose from the jet.

4. If necessary, disconnect the jet heating connector.

Installation

1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

2. The water hose should be clearly fixed on the windshield washer nozzle.

3. Close the hood and check the functionality of the jets, adjust if necessary.

Adjustment

1. The jet direction of the nozzles can be adjusted using the special tool 3125A or HAZET 4850-1. To do this, insert the mandrel into the nozzle and make a mark on the glass.

Caution: Do not use a needle as a mandrel, as this may damage the water passages of the jets.

2. Using a felt-tip pen, mark 4 points on the windshield where the water jet should hit.
  • a - from 250 to 275 mm (convertible: 340 mm)
  • b — from 465 to 490 mm (convertible: 500 mm)
  • c — from 270 to 415 mm (convertible: 450 mm)
  • d — from 140 to 225 mm (convertible: 280 mm)

d — from 140 to 225 mm (convertible: 280 mm)

Warning: The given adjustment dimensions are set from the outer edge of the glass and represent predictive values for a moving vehicle, i.e. when stationary, the jets produce a stream that is slightly shifted upwards.

3. If the jet is not regulated or is uneven, the nozzle must be replaced.

4. If necessary, remove the jet to clean it and blow it out with compressed air through the hose fitting.

Caution: Do not blow through the nozzle against the direction of the fluid.
