1. Removal: To completely open the air filter housing 12/14 (on the right side of the front of the engine compartment), first, remove the cover above the filter housing and the air intake sleeve 10.
Once installed, the air intake hose can only be removed after loosening two screws on the front edge of the body. In addition, there is a detachable connection on the air intake hose pipe, this connection must be disconnected.
2. Remove connection 1, which goes to the auxiliary air pump motor.
3. Loosen the self-tapping screw 11 and remove the upper part of the housing.
When installed, you must also remove the screws on the top of the filter. Also, remove both fuel lines from the holder on the top of the filter.
4. Remove the old cartridge, clean the filter housing, insert the new cartridge.
Cleaning the air filter cartridge
Knock out the paper filter on a solid surface, removing large dust particles.
Blow out fine dust with compressed air. The air stream should pass sideways past the filter plates. Do not blow from the outside of the cartridge inwards, otherwise the dust will be pressed even further into the filter pores. Do not clean the paper filter using liquids, otherwise the filter pores will become completely clogged, engine power will drop, and the exhaust gas composition will deteriorate dramatically.
If the filter is being replaced, make sure that the seal fits snugly into the bottom of the filter housing when inserting the new cartridge.
5 Installation is carried out in the reverse order. During installation of the filter, check the condition of the seals, replace damaged seals.
