A jack, as you know, serves only to lift a car. It does not provide sufficient support when working under a lifted car. Even in the greatest hurry, do not refuse professional fixation of a car lifted with a jack!
When supporting the car, do not forget to put stones or wooden wedges under the wheels so that it does not roll when lifting.
How to secure a car?
Hollow building blocks are the cheapest option for fixing a car. They should not be damp or have cracks, otherwise they can slip or break under load. A board should be placed between the block and the body to distribute the load evenly across the entire block. The hollow block should be installed with the holes vertically on a flat, solid surface (concrete or asphalt).
Tripod stands are the perfect complement to the garage jack. With all other jacks, as well as with the garage jack installed on the side, there is a risk that the tripod placed on the other side will simply slide to the side. Therefore, it is best to install the tripod so that one of its legs faces outward and the other two face the middle of the car. The support surfaces of the tripod should not be too small!
Ramps provide the fastest way to lift a car. The car stands absolutely securely.
