Below: such a dummy tripod is also placed only under the mark (1). In any case, it should stand behind the outer seam of the body or on the side member under the body. In order not to damage the body, it is recommended to put a plank between them (2).
Jacks exist at any cost and for different purposes. The different types are described here:
- Regular (airborne) jack: always place a small plank underneath to prevent the base of the jack from being pressed into the ground.
- Parallelogram type jack: in this case, only a stable model is recommended. Such a jack stands on a car whose body is already loosened at the lifting points. Such a jack can be installed a little further to the center of the body.
- Hydraulic Plunger Lift: Please check the lift height before purchasing. Too short a model will not raise the wheels to the desired height from the ground. And you just can’t put a lift that is too high under the car.
- Garage (mobile) jack: for a car enthusiast, a short, small model that does not take up much space is best suited.
