Insert the spring and bushing into the ball stop and install on the shift lever. Place the spring and bushings on the right in the direction of travel. Fit the ball stop before installing the circlip -15-.

Remove before removing the ball stop. Always replace the ring; the rounded side faces the body.

Switch adjustment
Put the car on the goats.
Remove the lower trim of the engine compartment.
Put the gear lever in neutral position.
Unscrew the lever handle.
Remove shift lever cover.
Loosen the gearbox shift rod from underneath the vehicle.
Set the shift lever vertically.
Set the selector lever so that the distance -a- between the noses of the ball stop and the ball stop body is the same on both sides.
Tighten the gearbox link bolt.
Attention: Do not change the position of the lever.
Check if the shift lever is in the neutral position in the groove of the third and fourth gears.
Check all gear shifts. In this case, pay special attention to the reverse lock. If necessary, unscrew the bolts securing the ball joint housing and turn the housing slightly.
Install shift lever cover. Install the lever handle.
Install the engine compartment lower trim.
Remove the car from the goat.
