To increase the car's acceleration, for example when overtaking, the automatic transmission has a so-called switch "Kickdown", which turns on when the gas pedal is fully pressed. The kickdown switch provides either a delayed upshift or even a downshift.
To assess the performance of an automatic transmission and correctly identify faults, a certain amount of experience in handling it and special knowledge is required. Since this is acquired only through ongoing maintenance, this manual covers only the most basic cases of malfunctions and how to resolve them.
Note: Vehicles with a diesel engine and automatic transmission have a mechanical fuel regulator on the fuel pump.
As soon as the ignition is turned off, the solenoid valve cuts off the fuel supply automatically. If the valve is faulty, the engine continues to run. In this case, by moving the mechanical regulator in the direction of the arrow, you can turn off the engine.
