1. Coolant temperature sensor. liquid is located on the reverse side of the coolant outlet pipe. fluid, on the left side of the cylinder head on 4-cylinder engines with a carburetor. On 4-cylinder engines with fuel injection, it is located at the top of the outlet pipe, the smaller of the two blocks. On 5-cylinder engines, the sensor is located on the reverse side of the outlet pipe.
2. Before removing the unit, drain half of the liquid from the cooling system as described in Chapter 3.
3. Disconnect the electrical wiring, unscrew the sensor from the outlet (photo). Remove the seal.
4. Reassemble in reverse order, always install a new gasket. Top up the cooling system as described in Chapter 5.
