Checking the lights and sound signal
1. Check the operation of all lights, including the turn signal lights and brake lights.
2. Check the operation of the sound signal.
Checking the windshield wiper and washer system
3. Check the operation of the windscreen wiper and washer systems. Where necessary, adjust the washer jets as described in Chapter 22.
4. Check the fluid level in the washer banks, top up if necessary.
Checking the electrolyte level in the battery
5. Be guided Chapter 4.
Checking the alternator drive belt
6. Check the condition of the generator drive belt along its entire length, replace it if there are any defects.
7. Check the tension of the drive belt, adjust if necessary, using the following Chapter 6.
Checking headlight adjustment
8. This is best done by an Audi dealer as special equipment is required.
