1. All models are equipped with a windshield washer system. Coupe models additionally have a rear door washer system, and some models are equipped with a headlight washer system.
2. The washer reservoir is located in the front left corner of the engine compartment, and for the rear door on Coupe models, on the right rear of the luggage compartment.
3. On 90 models, access can be gained by removing the plastic cover in front of the radiator.
4. The electric pump is simply inserted into a rubber seal located in the tank (photo).
5. To remove the jet from the hood, push it back and lift the front edge. When installing, insert the front first, then press the back until the plastic clip snaps into place.
6. The jets must be adjusted so that the water is directed as shown in Fig. 12.19 and 12.20. Adjustment of the headlight washer jets is only possible using the VAG 3019A tool.
