Depending on the generator version, disconnect the electrical wires from the generator terminals or disconnect the generator connector.
Loosen the generator mounting bolt and the generator mounting nut to the tension bar and loosen the tension of the generator drive belt.
Remove the alternator drive belt.
Turn the tension bar up.
Remove the generator protective cover if necessary.
After unscrewing the mounting bolt, remove the generator.
Install the generator in the reverse order of removal, then adjust the tension of the generator drive belt.
