1. The installation details of the filler neck flap and its cover are shown in the illustration.

Arrows - Clamps;
1 - Neck;
2 - Assembling the hatch;
3 - Hatch cover trim;
4 - Guide sleeve for locking the hatch cover;
5 - Auxiliary hose for assembly;
6 - Drain hose;
7 - Holder.


2. On models with VIN from "4L9-014901" before removing the flap assembly, the manual release mechanism leading to the V155 actuator must be separated from the bracket of the J393 comfort and convenience control unit.

3. Remove the guide bushing and release the hatch assembly from the clips: two on top and two on the bottom. To do this, insert a small screwdriver from below at an angle into the holes shown in the illustration, pull the screwdriver slightly upward and pull the hatch assembly out of the opening.

Repeat these steps for the remaining fasteners.

4. If necessary, separate the cover from the hatch assembly. To do this, insert a screwdriver between the cover and the trim, as shown in the illustration, gently pull the trim back and remove it.
