Note: Installing the rear housing of the climate control system in the service position requires its removal without disconnecting the refrigerant and coolant lines for subsequent work.

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Release the drain hose (In the illustration) from the floor panel (C) from under the car, slide it into the passenger compartment.

3. Remove the left side luggage compartment trim panel (see Chapter 10).

4. On models with air suspension, remove the receiver without disconnecting the air line and place it in the center of the vehicle so that the connection to the air line is not twisted or subject to other stress.

5. Mark the connectors of the rear left/right vent temperature sensors (G405/G406) to avoid confusion. Disconnect these connectors.

6. Remove the insulation (And in the illustration) and unscrew the bolts (B).

7. Disconnect the connectors (A and B in the illustration) and secure them to the body with adhesive tape so that they do not interfere with the removal of the climate control system housing.

Secure the lines in the same way (for example, C), passing through the area of the climate control system housing. Remove bolts (D).

8. Release the drain hose clamp. Separate the rear housing of the air conditioning system from the air duct (From the illustration 11.6), pulling the body back slightly and tilting it to the right, and then lay it on a suitable surface. At the same time, monitor the refrigerant and coolant lines and do not allow them to be subject to stress.

9. Installing the housing in its original position is done in reverse order. At the same time, check the correct position of the coolant hoses in the bushings (D).
