Unscrew screws "1...5".

Rotate the gearbox in the VAS 6095 tilting device in the vertical plane. Place the T40123 a/1 sleeve on the drive shaft. Place the T40123 A ATF pump drive puller on the drive shaft. The "arrow" edge of the ATF pump drive puller must go under the T40123 A/1 sleeve. Close the puller and tighten the knurled nut "1" (approx. 20 N·m). Check the tightness of the ATF pump puller fit on the drive shaft.

Connect the ATF pump puller "T40123 A" with the additional hook "10 -222 A/2" and hang it on the crane "VAS 6100". Carefully remove the double clutch from the gearbox housing.

Place the double clutch with the cover on a soft surface, avoiding damage to the thin spacer "arrow A".

Remove the "arrow" retaining ring with pliers.

Remove clutch cover "2" from clutch "1".

If the clutch cover does not come off, lightly tap the drive shaft with a plastic mallet while the second mechanic lifts the clutch cover manually. Be careful not to damage the thin spacer "arrow A".
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order. Replace the washer and retaining ring. Clean the sealing surface on the clutch housing cover. Turn the rectangular section ring "B" on the hub, make sure it moves freely and check the axial clearance. If the movement of the rectangular section ring is difficult, the dual clutch cannot be installed. Clean the gearbox housing in the area of the dual clutch and the sealing surface. Make sure that no dirt particles get into the gearbox during cleaning. Screw the centering tool "T40199" into the threaded holes of the gearbox housing, as shown in Fig.

Check the "arrow" thread in the gearbox for signs of wear.

When replacing the dual clutch, lubricate the sealing ring "C" and the hub "B" with ATF oil. Insert the dual clutch into the gearbox housing as shown in the figure, while using short turns and longitudinal movements, bring the drive shaft into engagement with the ATF pump and gearbox shafts. The dual clutch is installed correctly if the sealing ring of the clutch cover fits snugly against the edge of the gearbox housing. Do not pinch the new sealing ring when installing. Strictly observe the tightening sequence of bolts "1 to 5" of the dual clutch and the clutch cover. Tighten bolts "1 to 5" of the clutch cover to the specified tightening torque and in the specified sequence. Replace the sealing ring of the drive shaft. Install the flywheel. After installing the gearbox, add ATF oil. After replacing the dual clutch, it is necessary to perform the corresponding "Guided Function" using the diagnostic tester.
