- (1) The manufacturer fills the gearbox with 0.5 l more than the norm. Excess filling is necessary, since 0.5 l will be used after the gearbox installation to fill the ATF radiator.
- (2) On vehicles with a replaceable ATF filter, when changing the ATF oil, the ATF filter must also be changed.
Caution! Risk of damage to the gearbox. Only original ATF may be used for the dual clutch gearbox 0B5. Observe compliance. Other types of ATF or oils lead to malfunctions or failure of the gearbox. The ATF filling device must be clean and ATF must not be mixed with other ATFs!
Transmission Fluid (MTF) Filling Capacities
The manual transmission, front final drive and transfer case operate in a 0B5 dual clutch transmission with a common oil volume, filling and checking are carried out through a common filler hole. The transmission oil of the 0B5 dual clutch transmission is also designated as MTF. MTF means "Manual Transmission Fluid".
