Location of the letter code on the checkpoint
The gearbox identification is located on the factory plate at the bottom of the gearbox. Depending on the model, the factory plate is located either at "arrow 1" or "arrow 2." An additional identical factory plate is located on the left side of the gearbox, but is inaccessible when the gearbox is installed.
Letter code and current KP number
Example
"1". Serial number of the checkpoint.
"2". List number.
"3". Gearbox manufacturer code: 6HP-28.
"4". Letter designation of the control point, eg.; KRL.
The letter code of the gearbox is also given in the vehicle's nameplates.
