Remove the front and rear engine casing. Release the hose line "1" to the activated carbon canister. Remove the vacuum hose "2" from the air duct hose branch. Remove the air duct hose by loosening the clamp "3" and unlocking the locks "arrows".

Ignore the "arrow". Disconnect the following electrical connectors:

  • 1. Electromagnetic valve 1 of the absorber with activated carbon "N80"
  • 2. Secondary air supply control valve "N112" (installed only for ULEV 2 emission standards)
  • 3. Intake air temperature sensor "C42" / intake manifold pressure sensor "G71"
  • 4. Coolant shut-off valve for Climatronic "N422" (installed only in cars without parking heater)
  • 5. Secondary air supply control valve 2 "N320" (installed only for ULEV 2 emission standards)
  • 6. Throttle module "J338"

Release the electromagnetic valve 1 of the activated carbon canister "N80" from the bracket and put it aside together with the connected hose. Disconnect the electrical connectors on the front part of the intake manifold.

Unscrew the "arrow" bolts and remove the upper part of the intake manifold.

Plug the cylinder head intake channels with a clean rag.

Installation



Reinstall in reverse order, taking into account the tightening torque. Replace gaskets and O-rings. When reinstalling, install all cable ties where they were originally installed. Use clamps of the appropriate series to secure all hose connections.
