Removal the timing chain



Gearbox removed. Remove lower cover of drive chains. Remove chains from camshafts. Install chain drive of auxiliary units. Press on slider of chain tensioner damper in "direction of arrow" and fix chain tensioner with locking pin "T40071".

Risk of failure due to reverse running of the drive chain already in use. For reassembly, mark the direction of the drive chain with an arrow, use paint for this. Do not make notches with a center punch or similar tools. Unscrew bolt "1" and remove the damper bar. Unscrew bolts "2" and remove the chain tensioner. Remove the chain drive.

Installation



Installation in reverse order, note the following: Replace the bolts that were tightened with additional tightening. Install the drive chain in accordance with the markings applied during removal, on the chain drive sprockets. Install the tensioner bar and tighten the bolts "1". Install the chain tensioner and tighten the bolts "2". Press the chain drive tensioner damper bar in the "direction of the arrow" and remove the locking pin "T40071" from the tensioner. Install the accessory chain drive. Install the drive chains on the camshafts. Install the lower cover of the drive chains.
