Sealing flange pulley side - torque and tightening sequence
Tighten the sealing flange bolts from the pulley side "1...10" in 3 stages:
- 1. Screw in bolts "1...10" manually until they stop.
- 2. Tighten bolts "1...6" crosswise in several stages to a torque of 15 Nm.
- 3. Tighten bolts "7...10" to 15 Nm.
Cylinder block from the gearbox side
Sealing flange and driven disk 1. Cylinder block; 2. Guide bushings; 3. Engine shaft speed sensor "G28"; 4. Bolt 4.5 Nm; 5. Sealing flange with lip seal, with speed sensor ring, replace only as a set, do not additionally apply grease or oil to the sealing surface of the lip seal, remove any remaining oil on the crankshaft connecting rod journal with a clean rag before installation; 6. Bolt, 15 Nm; 7. Leading disk; 8. Bolt, 60 Nm + 90°, replace; 9. Needle bearing; 10. The intermediate shield is suspended from the flange and must be installed on the mounting bushings and not damaged/bent during installation work
Install the intermediate shield
Connect the intermediate shield to the flange - upper arrow - and place it on the centering bushings "lower arrows".
Sealing flange on gearbox side torque and tightening sequence
Tighten bolts "1...6" in 2 stages:
- 1. Tighten the bolts by hand until they stop
- 2. Tighten crosswise to 15 Nm in several stages
