Seal pulley side flange - tightening torque and sequence
Tighten the seal bolts. flange on the pulley side -1...10- in 3 stages:
- 1. Screw in bolts -1...10- by hand until they stop.
- 2. In several steps, tighten bolts -1...6- crosswise to a torque of 15 Nm.
- 3. Tighten bolts -7...10- to a torque of 15 Nm.
Cylinder block, gearbox side
Seal flange and driven disk 1. Cylinder block; 2. Guide bushings; 3. Engine speed sender -G28-; 4. Bolt. 4.5 Nm; 5. Seal flange with lip seal, with speed sensor ring, replace only as a set, do not additionally apply grease or oil to the seal. lip seal surface, before installation, remove any remaining oil on the crankshaft connecting rod journal with a clean rag; 6. Bolt, 15 Nm; 7. Drive disk; 8. Bolt, 60 Nm + 90°, replace; 9. Needle bearing; 10. Intermediate shield, suspended from the flange, must be installed on the mounting sleeves, not damaged/bent during installation work
Install the intermediate shield
Connect the intermediate shield to the flange -upper arrow- and push it onto the centering sleeves -lower arrows-.
Seal gearbox side flange torque and tightening sequence
Tighten bolts -1...6- in 2 stages:
- 1. Tighten the bolts by hand until they stop
- 2. Tighten crosswise to a torque of 15 Nm in several stages
