Only for vehicles with electronic damping control: Unlock and remove connector -3-. Remove fastenings -1- and -2- and release cable.
All
Remove the shock absorber fork. Unscrew nut -1. and remove the cover -2-.
Unscrew bolts -arrows- from flange shaft/gearbox. Remove the brake. highway and electric wires from the holder on the wheel bearing housing. Turn the hub so that one of the holes for the wheel bolt is at the top.
Attach support -T10149- -1- to wheel hub using wheel bolt. Secure wheel bearing housing using support -T10149- -1- to power unit lift.
Disconnect bolt connection -1-. Flaring the splines in the hub bearing housing using a chisel, etc. not allowed! Remove both hinge pins of the upper suspension arms -2- from the wheel bearing housing.
Lower the wheel bearing housing no more than necessary. Unscrew bolts -1 to 4-, remove the shock absorber strut with support bracket.
Installation
Install in reverse order. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the sequence of tightening the bolted connections of the support bracket with the shock absorber strut on the cup. Install and tighten the bolts shown in the sequence -1, 2, 3- and -4-. When tightening, press the upper lever down as far as possible! Tighten bolt connection -1-.
On vehicles with electronic damping control, when installing, ensure that the T-pin -arrow- is correctly seated in the groove of the shock absorber fork. Silent blocks have a limited working range of twisting. Therefore, wheel suspension bolts should only be tightened when the vehicle is in the no-load or standard suspension position. Raise the wheel support with the suspension in static position on vehicles with coil springs. The car has an automatic transmission. Use the headlight range control to perform the basic headlight installation. After removing and installing the ride height sensor or unfastening the linkages on vehicles with electronic damping control, the adjustment position must be readjusted. After recalibrating the adjustment position on vehicles with lane assist, the lane departure warning control unit -J759- must be recalibrated. Tighten the wheel. It is necessary to adjust the wheel alignment angles.
