Use new bolts. Do not loosen the bolts (4 pcs.) securing the brake pads to the brake bracket. Install the spacer "V.A.G 1869/2" between the brake pedal and the driver's seat, pressing the brake pedal at least 60 mm. Thanks to this, the valves of the main brake cylinder close, and the brake fluid reservoir does not remain empty. Raise the car. Remove the wheels. Connect the hose of the recovery container to the bleeder nipple of the front brake caliper. Open the bleeder nipple of the front brake caliper to relieve pressure in the brake system. Close the bleeder nipple. Spacer. VAG 1869/2 - do not remove. Unscrew the brake line from the caliper. Remove the brake pads. Mark the brake linings if they are to be reused. They must be installed back in their places, otherwise there will be uneven distribution of braking forces between the wheels! Remove brake caliper "7" from the car. Do not unscrew bolts "6 and 9" under any circumstances. Unscrew bolts "3" from the brake bracket, while holding the brake bracket from turning. Remove the brake bracket.

Installation

Use new bolts. Install the brake bracket. Tighten new bolts "3" of the brake bracket. Install the brake pads. After each replacement of the brake pads, press the brake pedal hard several times. This is necessary so that the brake pads take their working position. Screw the brake line "5" into the brake caliper and tighten the threaded nipple. Remove the spacer "V.A.G 1869/2". Bleed the brake system. Install the wheels.
