Removal
Attention! The immobilizer reading coil is fixed to the ignition switch (cylinder) and cannot be replaced separately. If the reading coil is faulty, the ignition switch must be replaced.
1. Remove the steering column switch assembly.
2. Disconnect the immobilizer reading coil plug.
3. Engage neutral gear or set the automatic transmission control lever to position "P".
4. Turn the ignition key to the "Ignition on" position (see arrow in illustration), and then lift clamp 1 and disconnect rod 2 from the ignition switch.

Attention! To remove the ignition switch (cylinder), you will need a spare key without a remote control.
5. Turn the key until the notch on the switch (cylinder) aligns with the hole in the ignition switch (see arrow in illustration).

6. Insert a wire or pin with a diameter of approximately 1.5 mm into hole 1 until it stops and remove switch (cylinder) 2 with the immobilizer reading coil from the lock housing 3 (see illustration).

Caution! The steering column lock must not be operated without the ignition lock cylinder, otherwise the steering wheel will be locked and the column lock will need to be replaced.
Installation
The ignition switch (cylinder) is installed in the reverse order of removal.
The cylinder is pressed into the lock body until it locks into place after the wire is removed.
