To perform systematic checks of the ignition and fuel injection systems or to eliminate detected faults, special measuring devices are required. They are usually very expensive and are available only in specialized workshops. For this reason, this manual only provides the main points for checking the ignition and fuel injection systems.
1. Check the battery condition and voltage.
2. Check all fuses.
3. Disconnect all plugs and connectors of the relevant system, and then reconnect them. Check the condition and fit of the plug connections and the fastening of the wires in the engine compartment.
4. Check the fit of the ground (-) wire terminals and their contacts.
5. Check the condition of the hoses and pipes. Make sure there are no porosity or cracks. Tighten any loose connections.
It is recommended to entrust other checks to a specialized workshop. If you have experience, you can independently check the resistance of the primary and secondary windings of the ignition coils, as well as the power supply to the coils. However, we recommend entrusting these works to an appropriate workshop.
