Table of contents: Evaluation of the received readings ↓ Checking the battery under load ↓
Battery voltage is measured using a voltmeter connected to the battery terminals.

5. Disconnect the battery terminals from the power cables. The power cables should be disconnected from the battery at least two hours before performing the voltage test.

6. Connect a voltmeter to the battery terminals and check the voltage.

Evaluation of the received readings

12.5V or higher - battery condition is good.

12.4 V or below - battery condition is unsatisfactory. Charge or replace the battery.

7. Connect the power wire terminals to the battery.

Attention! After connecting the battery, activate the power window control unit, set the clock and enter the code into the radio.

Checking the battery under load

8. Connect the voltmeter to the battery terminals.

9. Start the engine and read the voltmeter readings. When starting the engine, the battery voltage should not fall below 10 volts (at an electrolyte temperature of about +20°C).

If the battery voltage drops immediately and the cells have different electrolyte densities, then we can assume that the battery is faulty.
