Checking the voltage stabilizer (Audi 80 B3)

The stabilizer stabilizes the operating voltage for powering devices.

Remove the instrument panel assembly, leaving the connectors connected.

Connect ground to the battery.



Connect a voltmeter between input "1" and ground. The required value is approximately the battery voltage (12 volts). Otherwise, find the open circuit using the electrical diagram.

Check the output voltage by connecting a voltmeter between output "3" and ground "2". It should be: 9.75-10.25 Volts, otherwise replace the voltage stabilizer.
