Glass removal
1. Lower glass 6 all the way down (see illustration).
12.1. Glass and window regulator door:
1 - upper part of the door
2 - power window
3 - glass holder
4 - glass mounting bolt. Tightening torque 4.5 Nm
5 - rivet
Attention! It is necessary to take into account the different diameters of the rivets. Rivets a, b, c, d have a diameter of 4.8 mm, and rivet e has a diameter of 6.0 mm.
2. Remove an upholstery of a door, the corresponding chapter see.
3. Detach the top of the door.
4. Use a felt-tip pen to mark the longitudinal position of the glass in both holders 3 (see illustration 12.1).
5. Unscrew the bolts 4 and remove the glass from the guides 3 by pushing it up (see illustration 12.1).
Installation
7. Install the glass in guides 3 (see illustration 12.1).
8. Installation of the old glass. Establish former glass according to the marks put before removal.
9. Installation of new glass. Install the new glass in the guides and slide it all the way back towards the B-pillar. After that, raise the glass with a window regulator, without screwing in the bolts 4, up to the stop, and then fix it in the guides 3 with bolts 4 (see illustration 12.1).
10. Screw in the bolts 4 and tighten them with a force of 4.5 Nm (see illustration 12.1).
11. Reinstall the bearing part of the door.
12. Reinstall the door upholstery.
Removing power windows
13. Remove the bearing part 1 of the door (see illustration 10.0).
14. Cut off the rivet heads 5 (see illustration 12.1) and knock out the rivets.
15. Remove the power window 2 (see illustration 12.1).
16. Remove knocked-out rivets that have fallen into the door cavity.
Installation
17. Install the power window 2 in the bearing part 1 of the door (see illustration 12.1).
18. Fasten the window regulator with new rivets 5 in the sequence a, b, c, d, e, using special pliers, for example, HAZET 1963 (see illustration 12.1).
