MPI/MPFI injection system



MPI/MPFI injection system

  • 1. Return fuel line
  • 2. Bolt, 10 Nm
  • 3. Tightening clamp
  • 4. Sealing ring
  • 5. Pressure regulator
  • 6. Fuel manifold (ring fuel line)
  • 7. Fuel injection line
  • 8. Locking bracket
  • 9. Sealing ring
  • 10. Valve injector. Resistance: 15–17 Ohm (omega big).
  • 11. Sealing ring
  • 12. Switchable intake manifold

Warning: Always replace seals.


Removal



1. Remove the intake air hose between the MAF meter and the noise damper.

2. Remove the high tension wires from the ignition coils, unhook them from the ring fuel line and set them aside.

3. Remove the plugs from the valve injectors.

4. Unscrew the ring fuel line from the intake manifold.

5. Remove the injector valve retaining clips.

6. Lift the fuel ring line upward.

7. Remove the injector valves from the intake manifold.

Installation



1. Insert the valve injectors with new sealing rings into the intake manifold. Lightly lubricate the sealing rings with clean engine oil beforehand.

2. Install the ring fuel line.

3. Insert the injector valve retaining clips.

4. Tighten the ring fuel line to the intake manifold with a torque of 10 Nm.



5. Insert the valve injector plugs

6. Insert the high tension wires into the ignition coils and attach them to the ring fuel line.

7. Install the air intake hose between the mass air flow meter and the noise damper.
