Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the oil.
3. Drain the coolant.
4. Remove the drive belts.

5. Remove the plastic covers.


6. Unscrew the nuts and remove the engine cover.
7. Set piston N1 to TDC.
8. Remove the camshaft and fuel pump sprockets.


9. After unscrewing the bolts, remove the inner timing belt cover.

10. Disconnect all hoses from the cylinder head.
11. Disconnect the fuel pump head, disconnect the fuel supply lines from the injectors and the fuel return lines from the fuel pump. Disconnect the wires from the fuel system components.

12. Disconnect the wire from the coolant temperature sensor.
13. Disconnect the exhaust pipe and turbocharger from the manifold. Remove the exhaust gas control valve. Disconnect the wire from the N4 spark plug.

14. Remove the head bolts in the reverse order of tightening.

15. Remove the cylinder head.
16. Remove the bolts and intake manifold.

17. Remove the heat shield and unscrew the exhaust manifold nuts. Remove the manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

1. Install new exhaust manifold gaskets.

2. Install the exhaust manifold and tighten the bolts.

3. Install a new intake manifold gasket.

4. Install the manifold.

5. Tighten the bolts.
6. Thoroughly clean all surfaces and openings of the head elements.

7. Use two old head bolts (indicated by arrows) as dowel pins.

8. Lubricate the new head bolts with oil.

9. Tighten the head bolts in the sequence shown.

10. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

11. Tighten the bolts to the required angle.
