Precautions for vehicles with engine start-stop system
Caution! Risk of injury due to vehicle. starting the engine. On a vehicle with an activated start-stop system (recognized by a message in the instrument cluster) if necessary, the engine can be started automatically. Therefore, make sure that when working on the vehicle, the engine start/stop system is deactivated (turn off the ignition, turn it on again if necessary).
1. Voltage stabilizer "J532".
2/3/6. Nut: 3 Nm.
4. Control panel/cover. multimedia system. "E380".
5. Engine start/stop mode key "E693": various installation locations.
7. Voltage stabilizer holder "J532".
8. Electrical plug connection.
Removal and installation of the voltage stabilizer "J532"
Turn off the ignition.
Sedan: Lift the trunk floor covering and hang it on the body. Unscrew the nut and, if present, remove the spare wheel. If present, remove the subwoofer.
Avant: Remove the spare wheel well trim.

Disconnect plug connection "2". Unlock mounting plates "3" and "4" and remove voltage stabilizer "J532" "pos. 1" from the mount "arrow A".

Installation in reverse order. Install a subwoofer. Install the spare wheel well trim.
