Removal and installation, disassembly and assembly of the shock absorber (Audi A4 B7)

1. On models with ride height adjustment, release the pressure in the ride height adjustment system (special equipment required).

2. Remove the rear suspension spring (see Section 12).

3. Give the nut (1 in the illustration) and pull out the bolt. Unscrew the bolts (2) and remove the shock absorber.



4. If it is necessary to disassemble/assemble the shock absorber, refer to the accompanying illustration.



5. Set the shock absorber to the correct position (see illustration) and tighten the bolts (2 in illustration 13.3). Tighten the bolt (1) and install the spring.
