The oncoming air flow passes through the hole between the hood and the windshield and then through the air intake box is directed to the passenger compartment. The air supply to the passenger compartment can be forced by means of an electric fan. If the vehicle is equipped with a dust filter, the air passes through this filter beforehand. When the heater is turned on, a corresponding damper directs the air flow to the heater core, in which hot coolant circulates. When the heater is off, the air from the air intake is directed to bypass the heater core.
1. Turn the handle of the rotary switch for forced air supply to the passenger compartment and turning on the heater fan to the right. The rotary switch is located on the left side of the heater and interior ventilation control unit. As a result of this operation, the damper for supplying air to the passenger compartment will be opened, and the fan will rotate at an increased speed.
2. Turn the handle of the rotary switch for the temperature of the air supplied to the passenger compartment to the left or right. This switch is located in the middle of the heater control panel. In accordance with the position of the knob, the temperature of the air blown into the passenger compartment will increase or decrease.
Set the rotary switch knob on the right side of the heater control panel to the appropriate symbols and check that air is flowing through the correct vents.
