The engine oil pressure can be checked at a workshop if the vehicle does not have a proper gauge. The test conditions are: all-season oil SAE 20W/20, oil temperature 80°C, engine speed - 2000 rpm.
Oil pressure can be monitored without additional checks. This is provided by two oil pressure sensors. One of the sensors turns off the signal light on the instrument panel at an engine pressure of 0.15-0.45 bar, the second one warns the low oil pressure of the transition to high engine speeds. If the oil pressure at engine speeds over 2150 rpm. falls below 0.9 bar, the control lamp lights up and an acoustic signal sounds (see illustration 20.0).
