Oil pressure can be monitored without additional checks. This is ensured by two oil pressure sensors. One of the sensors turns off the warning light on the instrument panel at an engine oil pressure of 0.15-0.45 bar, the second warns of low oil pressure when switching to high engine speeds. If the oil pressure at engine speeds above 2150 rpm falls below 0.9 bar, the warning light comes on and an acoustic signal sounds (see illustration 20.0).
