The parking brake is tightened by moving the lever up to failure.
When braking the car on a slope, you should also include first gear, and if you have an automatic transmission, turn on the transmission lock. When the parking brake lever is fully tightened, it is impossible to move off. If the lever is not fully tightened, then the possibility of movement with the hand brake on is not excluded.
When the hand brake is applied and the ignition is on, the brake system warning light comes on.
To release the car from the hand brake, pull the lever up, press the release button and lower the lever all the way down.
