Estimated determination of the deviation of the direction of movement
1. For convergence values with the same signs (+/+ or -/-), subtract the smaller from the larger and divide by two.
Example:
The value of the convergence of the left rear wheel +15'
The value of the convergence of the right rear wheel +5'
15'-5'=10'
10':2=5'
Deviation from the direction of movement = 5'
2. Values with opposite signs (+/-) add and divide by two.
Example:
The value of the convergence of the left rear wheel +15'
The value of the convergence of the right rear wheel +5'
15'+5'=20'
20':2=10'
Deviation from the direction of movement = 10'
This is the actual deviation of the longitudinal axis of the car from the direction of its movement.
