Attention: The generator should move slightly.
Turn tensioning nut -B- to the left, thereby loosening the V-belt.
Pull out the V-belt.
Install V-belt.
Turn the tension nut to the right, thereby tightening the V-belt. The V-belt will be tensioned correctly when tightening the tension nut with a force of 4 Nm (5 cylinder engine: 3 Nm) for a used belt. For a new belt - 8 Nm (5 cylinder engine: 6 Nm). While holding the nut in this position, tighten the fixing bolt to 35 Nm.
Attention: For tightening, you will need a torque wrench with a SW22 head. It is also possible to use the HAZET 2593-22 cut socket together with a torque wrench and SW13 bent ring wrench.
Tighten all mounting bolts for tension bracket and alternator.
