Note: The generator should move slightly.
Turn tension nut "B" to the left, thereby loosening the V-belt.
Remove the V-belt.
Install the V-belt.
Turn the tension nut to the right, thereby tightening the V-belt. The V-belt will be tensioned correctly if you tighten the tension nut with a force of 4 Nm (5-cylinder engine: 3 Nm) for a used belt. For a new belt - 8 Nm (5-cylinder engine: 6 Nm). While holding the nut in this position, tighten the mounting bolt to 35 Nm.
Note: A torque wrench with a SW22 head is required for tightening. Alternatively, a HAZET 2593-22 cut socket head can be used together with a torque wrench and an SW13 offset ring wrench.
Tighten all tensioner bracket and generator mounting bolts.
