Risk of damage due to jumping of the camshaft timing chain. Turn the crankshaft only in the direction of engine rotation. Using the wrench -T40049-, turn the crankshaft 2 turns so that it is in front "TDC". -Arrows- ignore.
Secure the crankshaft -1- from rotation with the fixing bolt -3242- with a torque of 20 N'M. Possibility of incorrect adjustment due to inaccurate position "TDC". If the crankshaft goes through "TDC": Turn the crankshaft another 2 turns until it is almost in position "FROM". Then lock the crankshaft using the locking bolt -3242- using a rotating motion. Make sure that the camshafts of both cylinder heads are in position "TDC". The camshafts must be secured with pins -T40060-. The pin -arrow- in the locating pin -T40060- must be perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the camshaft for cylinder bank 1 (right).
The pin -arrow- in the locating pin -T40060- must be perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the camshaft for cylinder bank 2 (left).
