Install the adapters "T40061" on the heads of the loosened bolts. Turn the camshaft with the adapter "T40061" in both directions so that the dowel pin "T40060" can be inserted. The pin "arrow" in the dowel pin "T40060" must be positioned parallel to the axis of symmetry of the camshaft chain transmission. With the adapter "T40061" mounted and the dowel pin "T40060" inserted, tighten the camshaft chain sprocket bolts to a torque of 5 N·m. Remove the dowel pin "T40060" and the adapter "T40061".
Tighten the camshaft chain sprocket to the final tightening torque. If necessary, repeat the process on the other bank of cylinders. Unscrew the locking bolt "3242". Repeat the timing phase check. Install in the reverse order, while taking into account the following. Screw in the threaded plug marked "TDC" in the upper part of the oil pan. Install the lower cover of the drive chains.
