If it is not possible to secure 1 of the camshafts, then unscrew all bolts -arrows- of the corresponding camshaft chain sprocket by approx. by 1 turn.
Install adapters -T40061- onto the heads of the loosened bolts. Rotate the camshaft using the adapter -T40061- in both directions until the locating pin -T40060- can be inserted. The pin -arrow- in the dowel pin -T40060- must be parallel to the axis of symmetry of the camshaft chain drive. With adapter -T40061- fitted and dowel pin -T40060- inserted, tighten the camshaft chain sprocket bolts to a torque of 5 Nm. Remove the locating pin -T40060- and adapter -T40061-.
Tighten the camshaft chain sprocket to the final torque. If necessary, repeat the process on another bank of cylinders. Release retaining bolt -3242-. Repeat timing control. Installation is in reverse order, observing the following. Screw in the marking screw "TDC" at the top of the oil pan. Install the lower drive chain cover.
