Removing the tire pressure monitoring control unit -J502-
The used tire pressure monitor -J502- is located in the footwell on the front right, under the dashboard. Before removing the tire pressure monitoring control unit -J502-, perform the Guided Fault Finding function "Replacing the control unit". Remove the glove box. Remove the sill trim. Using a 2nd mechanic, carefully bend the floor covering to the side. Unscrew the insulating mat -arrow- upwards.
Unlock and remove connector -3-. Unscrew nuts -1 - and lift out tire pressure monitoring control unit -J502--1-.
Installation
Install in reverse order. Please note the following: If the center console was removed from the front panel when returning the floor covering to its installation position, then insert the center console pin -1 - into the front panel -2-. Tighten nuts -1- to 2 Nm.
If the tire pressure monitoring control unit -J502- is replaced, the system must be recoded.
