Please note: Engine oil specifications 503 00, 503 01, 506 00, 506 01 are intended only for vehicles with Longlife service and cannot be used in engines up to model year 2000, as the engines may be damaged.
Guidelines for VW/AUDI engine oil standards
- For VW/AUDI standard oil, the production date must not be earlier than 10/91.
- If it is necessary to change the engine oil in Longlife service vehicles, and there is no oil of the VW/AUDI standard available, you can use oil for gasoline engines of the API-SF or API-SG specification, and for diesel engines, except for engines with an injector/pump, the API-CD specification.
- If Longlife service oil is not used on vehicles with Longlife service, the Service indicator must be reprogrammed when changing the oil.
- For vehicles with Longlife service, it is necessary to carry a container with the appropriate oil on long journeys.
- If Longlife service oil is not available, you can add (up to 0.5 l) VW/AUDI 505 00 or 505 01 engine oil to diesel engines, and VW/AUDI 502 00 to petrol engines.
