Removal
Remove the trunk lid trim.
Disconnect the electrical connectors for the heater and rear window wiper. Tie a thin long cord to the wiring and hoses of the central lock and rear window washer and remove the wiring and hoses from the boot lid. Untie the cord and leave it in the boot lid. Later you will need the cord to pull the wiring and hoses into the boot lid.
Open the trunk lid and secure it in the open position using a suitable support.
Release the gas strut upwards 1 (fig. 12.23). To do this, use a screwdriver to pry up the mounting spring 3 (fig. 12.23) and remove the top of the gas-filled strut from the spherical journal 2.

Mark the position of the trunk lid on the trunk lid hinge 2 (fig. 12.24). To do this, trace around the hinge bolts with a felt-tip pen.

Remove the Allen bolts 1 (fig. 12.24).
With an assistant, remove the trunk lid 5 (fig. 12.24).
Installation
With the help of an assistant, hang the trunk lid.
Screw in bolts 1 (fig. 12.24), without tightening them completely.
