Removal
Remove the trunk lid trim. Disconnect the operating rod 4 (fig. 12.28) from the handle control.

After installing the lock, move it to the working rod.
3 - nut, 8 Nm,
4 - working thrust,
Adjust so that the working rod moves freely and without tension.
5 - nut, 8 Nm,
6 - handle control,
7 - servo element,
8 - locking cylinder,
9 - Remote release motor.
For removal, the working rod 4 must not be removed from the articulated lever.
10 - bolt, 1.2 Nm,
11 - working thrust
Note: The figure shows the boot lid lock of the AVANT. Removal and installation of the lock in Limousine cars is similar.
Unscrew nuts 5 (fig. 12.28) and remove the handle control.
Remove the hinge arm 2 (fig. 12.28) from the working rod 4 and remove it from the lock.
Unscrew nuts 3 (fig. 12.28) and remove the lock.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: The trunk lid lock has two latching positions. When the operating control rod is adjusted correctly, the trunk lid lock should latch into the second (main) position.
